The Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) Professional Fellowship is an entrepreneurship program developed by the government of the United States of America to recognize and empower young entrepreneurs in the region.
President Obama launched the first edition of YLAI in 2016, receiving around 10,000 applications from individuals coming from 36 countries of Latin America and the Caribbean. Of those, only 250 were chosen, and I was privileged enough to be part of the inaugural generation of this exclusive group, becoming the first Dominican woman to be accepted into the program.
A curious fact? The signature that appears in our certificate is the one from Present Obama himself!
